Sharing in Divine Creativity

We believe that imagination and transformation are at the heart of healthy spiritual life

Our community includes artists, teachers, communicators and activists of various kinds with lots of room for many more!

Join us in the journey of joy and justice...

Art for Justice

As part of our commitment to social justice, we run a program of art exhibitions in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit each year. This seeks to highlight core issues and the creativity which can help name them and inspire change. It offers visual focus for other practical endeavours for peace, justice and ecological sustainability.

We also use art to explore our living in the Christian faith and have regular exhibitions by professional artists on display during the year.

Australian Reconciliation with Justice

Milton Anglicans acknowledge the Turbal and Jagera peoples as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet, and pay our respects to their elders, past present and emerging. We seek to learn from and walk with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to transform the sufferings caused by the destructions and dispossessions of land, people and culture.

We seek to play our part in the continuing work of Reconciliation (where it is based on genuine truth and justice-making), not least through our partnerships with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Anglican Church and locally.

Check out our Diocesan Reconciliation Facebook page for news and information on Anglican and other developments.

Celebrating LGBTIQA+ People

Milton Anglicans seek to celebrate LGBTIQA+ people fully, providing a safe and joyful space for all, and rejoicing in the leadership of sexually & gender diverse people within our own community.

We are active in Equal Voices initiatives and walking with LGBTIQA+ people for love and justice.

Sadly, due to wider Church legal restrictions, we are unable to offer marriage ceremonies for all, but we do offer affirming prayers and other gatherings, including blessings for transgender people (eg for name changes & before surgeries) and baptisms for all. For we are all equally loved by God and infinitely valuable.
